Green-Routed Carbon Dot-Adorned Silver Nanoparticles for the Catalytic Degradation of Organic Dyes

نویسندگان

چکیده

Herein, a simple, cost-effective, and in-situ environmentally friendly approach was adopted to synthesize carbon dot-adorned silver nanoparticles (CDs@AgNPs) from yellow myrobalan (Terminalia chebula) fruit using hydrothermal treatment without any additional reducing or stabilizing agents. The as-synthesized CDs@AgNP composite systematically characterized multiple analytical techniques: FESEM, TEM, XRD, Raman, ATR-FTIR, XPS, UV-vis spectroscopy. All the results of characterization techniques strongly support idea that CDs were successfully made adorn AgNPs. This effectively synthesized applied as catalyst for degradation organic dyes, including methylene blue (MB) methyl orange (MO). revealed CDs@AgNPs exhibit superior catalytic activity in MB MO presence NaBH4 (SB) under ambient temperatures. In total, 99.5 99.0% rates observed with SB, respectively. A plausible mechanism reductive is discussed detail. Moreover, has great potential wastewater applications.

γ-CD-Functionalized TiO2 Nanoparticles For the Photocatalytic Degradation of Organic Dyes

In this work, an efficient photocatalyst based on gamma-cyclodextrin-modified titanium dioxide nanoparticles (TiO2/γ-CD NPs) was synthesized and used for photocatalytic degradation of rhodamine B (RhB), methyl orange (MO) and methylene blue (MB). The results of FESEM, EDX, TEM, FT-IR, XRD and BET surface area measurement showed that the TiO2 NPs were effectively modifi...

Photocatalytic degradation of some organic dyes under solar light irradiation using TiO2 and ZnO nanoparticles

Nanoparticles of the ZnO and TiO2 were synthesized and the physicochemical properties of the compounds were characterized by IR, X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The XRD patterns of the ZnO and TiO2 nanoparticles could be indexed to hexagonal and rutile phase, respectively. Aggregated nanoparticles of Z...

Synthesis of silver nanoparticles using bacterial exopolysaccharide and its application for degradation of azo-dyes

In this study, the synthesis and characterization of exopolysaccharide-stabilized sliver nanoparticles (AgNPs) was carried out for the degradation of industrial textile dyes. Characterization of AgNPs was done using surface plasmon spectra using UV-Vis spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Raman spectroscopy. The morphological nature of AgNPs was determined through transmission electron mic...
